REPORTED EXPERIENCES

How to read reported effects

Effect labels describe what people reported; they do not promise what another person will experience.

Reports are observations

Words such as relaxed, focused or sleepy are reader-reported descriptors. They are useful for organizing a catalog and are not clinical outcomes.

Look for the shape of the evidence

A percentage without sample size or collection method is hard to interpret. Compare the source, ranking and wording before treating two profiles as equivalent.

Read negative reports too

Dry mouth, dizziness, anxiety and other negative descriptors can be part of the same source record. Keeping them visible gives a more honest picture than showing only positive labels.

Do not turn a label into advice

Cannabis effects vary with the person, product, dose and setting. The Atlas does not provide medical advice or instructions for use.
